While oud is a strong presence in many of the Boadicea the Victorious perfumes, there are a few where the oud is ramped up and the other materials revolve like planets around a smoky, woody sun. 

Nemer is one of these superstar oud perfumes. The name derives from the Arabic for Tiger and is used to refer to Tiger Oud, extracted from the distinctive striated bark pattern the tree develops as materials are carefully cleaved. The oud in Nemer is full-bodied and velveteen, smooth and deeply aromatic

Saffron and aromatic black pepper are mixed with lemongrass; a delicious overture to the Moroccan and Turkish roses that sweep in like red night. They are provocative, blowsy and romantic in turn, supported by an embrace of woods, patchouli and amber. 

An important note in the later stages of Nemer is cypriol an earthy, bonfire smoke thing, robustly atramental and tawny. It smells of snarling claw and growly fur appropriately for a tiger scent. It has more presence than incense and the smokiness is more bitter; it exalts the floral rush of the roses while acting as a fixative to ease out the fade and hush of Nemer’s drydown.
