Fragrance Story

The inspiration behind this remarkable scent

Bright, fresh and enlivening

Hanuman celebrates the Chinese Year of the Monkey. Hanuman is a much-loved and revered Hindi deity, a loyal companion of Rama, an essential avatar of Vishnu. This most sacred of animals has become increasing visible in religious iconography, representing loyalty, optimism, heroism, strength, all tinted with a sprinkling of playful mischief.

The perfume is sublime; an unexpected mix of tangy citrus, sensual indolic blooms and a wonderful base of robust woods and ambered musks. Vetiver suggests both the greenness of canopies and roots.

There is impish hide and seek in the composition, a sense of freshness and sun-dappled flowers glowing on a ground of arboreal calm. The lemon note, more lemonade than acidic wince has a lovely duration. Normally the volatility and small size of citrus notes means they fizz off quickly at the top of perfumes, in Hanuman however, a canopy of lemon, blood orange, bergamot and cassis filters down slowly through the composition, the juicy orange in particular illuminating the bridge into the intricate marigold-tinged bouquet at the heart of the perfume, this connects to a woody vetiver base with flickers of warm amber and musks

Hanuman is a blast to wear, full of joyous flowers, hesperidic joy and optimism. Brimming with cheeky attraction and brightness, It is a perfume to elicit smiles and a touch of flirtatious confidence.
