The word complex is defined as something composed of many interconnected parts, which is a perfect description of the original Complex by Boadicea the Victorious launched in 2008. This is a wise and impeccable leather perfume, richly infused with the verdancy of sage and mysterious violet. Sage is a potent note with a long folkloric history of cleansing and meditative rituals, in libations or burning.

Base notes of oud, musks and supple animalic leather provide a deeply sensual perfume that simply gets better and better as it develops on skin. The longevity, as with so many Boadicea perfumes is exceptional.

In Complex, the soapy rubbed verdancy of the sage in the opening of the scent isunderpinned by the forest boudoir vibe of violet and sinks into a supple smoky leather that recalls the nostalgia of gentlemen’s smoking rooms, oak panelled walls, old books, leather wingback chairs and scuffed ottomans.
