PERFUME DESCRIPTION

The NM on the beautiful bottle refers to Neiman Marcus, the retail emporium, founded in 1907 in Dallas. The perfume embodies the ethos of Boadicea the Victorious who believe passionately in luxury perfume shopping in an elevated aromatic way.

A sparkling canopy of green spices is irrigated with lemon and a sparkle of cassis like a Kir Royale, bubbling with the floral pepper of baies rose. The heart is airy and herbaceous, sinking like evening into a varnished base of smoky woods, amber, resins and tobacco. Nutmeg and sage mingle with soft woods on a whoosh of resins, cedar, mossy musks and tobacco. Boldly echoing vintage tropes, 1907 by Boadicea the Victorious is rich with opulent detail and deserving of love.

FAQs

What does 1907 smell like?

1907 is a rich scent that opens with a sparkling burst of cardamom, cinnamon and pink pepper over lemon and a hint of cassis. A herbaceous heart of violet and sage lies at the floral core of the fragrance smoky cedarwood, amber, tobacco and tonka, with mossy musks and benzoin at the base.

Is 1907 a strong perfume?

Yes, 1907 has strong projection, especially in the opening hour when the spice blend announces itself clearly. The sillage is strong, with the wearer leaving a trail of smoky woods and amber. 1907 softens as it develops but never disappears, making it a bold, confident choice for evenings or cooler months

Does 1907 contain oud?

Oud is not a listed note in 1907. Its depth and richness come instead from cedarwood, amber, benzoin and tobacco. If you're looking for a Boadicea fragrance built around oud, Blue Sapphire or Nebulous would be the ones to explore.

How does 1907 compare to Blue Sapphire?

1907 is warmer in character, built around spice, tobacco and amber, with a vintage feel. Blue Sapphire is fresher and more floral, leading with dewy rose and citrus before grounding in oud. 1907 suits cooler months and evenings; Blue Sapphire is more versatile across seasons. Both are rich, complex fragrances, but they occupy quite different olfactive territory.

What does 1907 smell like at first spray?

The opening is a lively, spiced citrus burst: cardamom and cinnamon with a sparkle of pink pepper and lemon. After half an hour the spice softens and the sage begins to emerge, giving the opening a dry, herbaceous edge that bridges the bright top to the richer heart below.
