The NM on the 1907 bottle refers to Neiman Marcus, the retail emporium, founded in 1907 in Dallas. The perfume embodies the ethos of Boadicea the Victorious who believe passionately in luxury perfume shopping in an elevated aromatic way.

A sparkling canopy of green spices is irrigated with lemon and a sparkle of cassis like a Kir Royale, bubbling with the floral pepper of baies rose. The heart is airy and herbaceous, sinking like evening into a varnished base of smoky woods, amber, resins and tobacco. Nutmeg and sage mingle with soft woods on a whoosh of resins, cedar, mossy musks and tobacco. Boldly echoing vintage tropes, 1907 by Boadicea the Victorious is rich with opulent detail, and deserving of indulgent love.

Fragrance Story

The inspiration behind this remarkable scent

Elevated Style

The NM on the bottle refers to Neiman Marcus, the behemoth retail emporium, founded in 1907 in Dallas by brother and sister Herbert Marcus and Carrie Marcus Neiman.

Neiman Marcus was a different kind of shopping experience with artistic vibes, conveying the luxury of buying high quality goods in an elevated environment. The oil boom transformed Texas, creating a new stratum of super-rich, who aspired to lineage, grandeur and taste by acquisition.

The 1907 bottle is cherry red and despite cherry not being an ingredient, it certainly echoes a certain glacé fruit and smoky cocoa vibe. 1907 encapsulates the ethos of Boadicea the Victorious who also believe passionately in the luxury details of perfume shopping in an elevated aromatic way.

Textured like velvet, the notes soak the air, but this is part of its purpose, perfume as experience. A sparkling canopy of green spices is irrigated with lemon and the pungent sparkle of cassis like a Kir Royale, bubbling with the floral pepper of baies rose.

The heart is airy and herbaceous, sinking like evening into an earthy varnished base of smoky woods, amber, resins and a floating whisper of tobacco. Nutmeg and sage mingle with soft woods and 1907 rises on an intoxicating rush of resins, pencil shavings, mossy musks and tobacco leaf that nod towards the faded ambience of a gentlemen’s smoking-room. 1907 is impeccably composed, threaded with modern style and bold echoing vintage tropes. The Neiman Marcus inspiration is witty with opulent detail, ravishing on skin and deserving indulgent love.
