The scent of Jubilee

The scent of Jubilee

As the Queen's Platinum Jubilee fast approaches so does the commotion that ensues such a historical event. This Jubilee marks Her Majesty the Queen’s 70 years of service as British Monarch. Making her the first in history to reach such a milestone.

Although February 6th is the official date that marked Her Majesty’s accession to the throne, that date also marks the anniversary of her father, King George VI death. Therefore, the Queen has chosen to celebrate her Platinum Jubilee, just like her Golden and Diamond Jubilees, four months later in June.

Jubilee picnic

The first weekend in June has UK and commonwealth residents rejoicing for a four-day weekend in honour of the Queen. On the 2nd June the iconic Trooping of Colour will take place down the Mall and on the 3rd of June a service of thanksgiving will be held in St Paul’s Cathedral. Then on 4th June Buckingham Palace will host a Platinum Party. Lastly, on the 5th June will see the ‘Big Jubilee Lunch’ in which everyone in the UK and in Commonwealth countries are encouraged to take part in street parties in the hope of bringing communities together once again.

As a brand with rich British heritage, we have curated some of our beloved fragrances, inspired by Queen Elizabeth II as an ode to her Platinum Jubilee, and to celebrate this achievement with Her Majesty and you.
