When it comes to opulence and indulgence, can there be anywhere better in the world than the magnificent Burj-al-Arab hotel in Dubai?
With its giant sail-like structure rising from the sea, it is a breath taking achievement of modern architecture on the outside and world class example of perfect hospitality once you enter the doors.
It is in these amazing surroundings that for two years now Boadicea the Victorious has been proud to be a sponsor to the stunning Gulf Concours, where the rarest classic and modern cars are on show to an exclusive, invitation only audience.
In the lush grounds of Burj Al Arab Jumeirah’s North Terrace, car lovers from across five Continents gathered to share their passion with like-minded enthusiasts at what is rapidly becoming established as one of the world’s leading Concours d’elegance events.
This year’s judging panel again included His Royal Highness Prince Michael of Kent, a visitor to the Boadicea the Victorious stand, as we joined a strictly limited and carefully chosen roster of sponsors allowed within the grounds.
Our brand values encompass high quality workmanship, and so it was easy to appreciate the merits of the 1965 Flaminia Zagato Super Sport which was awarded the prize for Best in Show. Just 150 examples were produced of this sleek machine, created by the engineer famous for designing the first car in which a young Enzo Ferrari raced in 1933.
Boadicea the Victorious CEO David Crisp again attended all three days of the show, and said: “It was a wonderful opportunity to renew friendships made in the first year, and to meet new colleagues.
“With hand picked official partners such as Vacheron Constantin watches, Aston Martin, Bentley and Porsche the interest we received in our luxury British perfumes underlined how the company is now comfortable joining such exalted company.”
