This is the opening of Amber Sapphire shot through with the distinctive aroma of blackcurrant bushes and a dose of rum that serves to gently lacquer notes. Amber in perfumes is now universally an accord of notes like lavender, labdanum, vanilla and benzoin, augmented with carefully blended spices, resins and musks. The effect is one of warm, sensual depth, gilded and lingering. Rose, jasmine and magnolia swell the heart of Amber Sapphire, enhanced by cinnamon and the distinctive piney aroma of mastic. This adds a dry powdered aromatic note that both stands alone and also augments the fruity rise of Cambodian oud, vanilla and tonka in the base notes.
