When the Queen ascended to the throne in 1952, she was just 25 years old. This speech alone showcased her courage and determination to succeed in her role as Queen and to serve her country.

Intuitive

In 70 years, the Queen encountered her fair share of tribulations which caused controversy. Yet each challenge the monarch faced she did so by following her intuition, meaning every decision she made followed her own beliefs and what she deemed best for others. These decisions sometimes made people question her, yet they always made her more relatable and intriguing to the public.

Fortitude

Upon her husband, Prince Phillip’s, passing in 2021, the Queen as always handled herself with fortitude. The world was in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic and the Queen upheld the regulations of social distancing and wore a mask. At one of the hardest times of her life, Queen Elizabeth II took it upon herself to remain composed and an exemplar to her country.

Grace

Queen Elizabeth II was renowned for handling herself with grace. At every celebration, every public engagement, every Jubilee the Queen was poised, courteous, and grateful. At her Platinum Jubilee celebration in June this year, despite being unable to attend some of the events due to her health, when the Queen did make an appearance, she was as joyful and gracious as ever.
