There is no denying the controversy of bullfighting, but its brutal bloodied role is undeniably soaked in complex symbolism, traditions and spectacle. Any perceived glamour is outweighed by the shock and horror of how the bulls are treated. This image we have of the corrida bulls is difficult to separate from any realistic consideration.
